The US Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement, The Boeing 767 (MSN 25865) operating as Atlas Air flight 3591 “crashed into Trinity Bay near Anahuac, Texas, shortly before 12:45 pm [local time] today.”
The Atlas Air’s Boeing 767-300ER Freighter was operating as an online retailer for Amazon’s Prime Air and was en route to a Houston before the crash. According to the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office, the plane crashed near the City of Anahuac, Texas, in the Trinity Bay. The plane was piloted by a three-man crew, all of whom are feared dead, according to Officials.

The Flight Radar data shows that at 11:33 local time the flight departed from Miami and was scheduled to arrive at Houston Intercontinental Airport at 12:53 local time. But the flight was cut short as the flight crashed near Houston, just a few minutes before it’s scheduled arrival.
Emergency services were immediately called as soon as the plane was seen losing altitude. The National Transportation and Safety Board has reportedly been called at the scene to investigate the reason for the crash and the preliminary investigation is still going on.
