At the Mobile World Congress 2019, Sony Corporation is showing off their new smartphones. Last year they showcased Xperia XE 2 and XE 3, their flagships smartphones. And this year they are back with their new flagship and it’s called the Xperia 1. They have totality revamped this phone because it has so many new features and it looks like they’re just moving in a totally new direction with all their new phones. The Sony Corporation is coming up with 3 new models, the Xperia 1, Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus which are the lower-end models with 21:9 display.
Sony Corporation obviously is going to try to give that same cinema experience that Sony itself had touted with their previous phones. The 21:9 display may gonna be a little big for most people but they’re trying to fix that by making multitasking a much more fluid and user-friendly. And the new display will definitely help with multitasking.
They are following in the footsteps of last year’s Xperia XE 2 and XE 3 because this year too, they have provided Xperia 1 with a beautiful 4k HDR OLED display. But the major feature on Xperia 1 are those triple cameras on the back which enables you to shoot in 21:9 at 24fps. Xperia 1 is doing what now can be called as an industry standard, meaning they have removed the 3.5mm headphone jack. It is one of the first smartphones to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 coupled with 6GB of RAM and around 128GB of storage.
Sony trying to target the mid-range segment with their Xperia 10 and 10Plus. With Xperia 10, you’re are getting the Snapdragon 630 and in Xperia 10 plus you’re getting the Snapdragon 636 and plus point for both of them is that they both have headphone jacks.
All three phones also have a side mounted fingerprint scanner as well which is kind of a staple for all Sony devices.
