Yusuf Azhar, Head of JeM Terror Camp, Destroyed By IAF in Balakot

New Delhi, India– Indian Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale held a press conference. There he confirmed that India had “struck the biggest training camp of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in Balakot” earlier on Tuesday morning.

He added, The Airstrike was coordinated and conduct by the Indian Air Force using Mirage 2000s. He further provided details on the location of the terror camp and added, The terror camp was located in Balakot District, on a hilltop in a forest location, not in the vicinity of the civilian population.

One interesting information he provided was that the terror camp was headed by Mohammad Salim alias Yusuf Azhar, and was killed in the Air Strike by Indian Air Force. Yusuf Azhar is the brother-in-law of Masood Azhar, the head of Jaish-e-Mohammed. Masood Azhar was arrested when he was travelling from from Khanabal near Anantnag to in 1994. And this is when his Brother-in-law comes in as he was one of the men who planned and orchestrated the Hijack of Indian Airlines’ Flight 814. He did this to demand Indian Authorities that they release Masood Azhar.

And ever since Masood Azhar was let free by India, he has orchestrated numerous terrorist attack on the Indian soil. The recent Pulwama Terror Attack in which a suicide Bomber Killed a Bus of Indian Security Forces, CRPF in Pulwama District of Jammu was also planned and executed by Masood Azhar.
