Judge Valmiki Mehta of Delhi High Court passed away this morning due to a heart attack. Born on June 6, 1959, in Mumbai, Judge Mehta took office as an Additional Judge in Delhi High Court on April 15, 2009. He started his career as an advocate in 1982 and in 2001, at the age of 42, he was nominated as a senior advocate. Mehta’s son is married to the daughter of CJI Ranjan Gogoi.
Very sad to hear about the untimely demise of Justice Valmiki Mehta, Judge High Court of Delhi.
He was a very fine and hardworking judge, encouraging towards young lawyers. May his soul rest in peace.

Judge Mehta completed schooling from Central Vidyalaya, Visakhapatnam. After that, he completed his graduation in B.Com from Mr Venkateswara College of Delhi University. Judge Mehta completed his LL.B from Delhi University’s Campus of Law Center.
