A Search operation initiated by the security forces in the Tral sub-district of Pulwama was initiated after intelligence was acquired that were hiding in that area. While conducting their search operation the terrorists open fired on the security forces to which they fired back.
Earlier reports confirmed that one terrorist was shot and killed in the encounter. But more reports are coming in that another terrorist has been neutralized in the exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists.
The operation hasn’t ended yet as security forces are still being fired upon with small arms fire. Officials have said that the operation will likely last few more hours.
There are no reported injuries or casualties on the security forces side.
