Rajasthan: IAF MiG-21 aircraft on a routine mission crashed today after getting airborne from Nal near Bikaner. According to the source, the pilot of the Mig 21 aircraft ejected safely. The Reason for the crash and Court of inquiry will investigate the cause of the accident.
This is the same IAF aircraft which Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman was flying during the chase of Pakistan’s F-16 Aircraft. Mig-21 is the 2nd Generation Aircraft, and it has been upgraded so many times till now.
