Update: All Passengers and Crew Killed in Ethiopian Flight Crash
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia: An Ethiopian Airlines flight ET 302/10 going from Addis Ababa to Kenya’s capital, Nairobi crashed on Sunday. The Flight was carrying 149 passengers and 8 crew members and there is no status of the survivors or casualties in the accident.
The plane was en route to Nairobi and took off from Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa. But just a few minutes after the take-off, the plane ran into some issues. After that, the aircraft lost altitude and crashed near Debre Zeit or Bishoftu, the airline said.
Local Police and emergency services were immediately called to the scene and they are helping in the investigation.
The Office Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed also showed respect and condolences to families of those who lost their loved ones on the accident. They tweeted “The Office of the PM, on behalf of the Government and people of Ethiopia, would like to express it’s deepest condolences to the families of those that have lost their loved ones on Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 on regular scheduled flight to Nairobi, Kenya this morning.”

Investigative authorities have released no information about the cause of the crash. They also haven’t released any details about the number of survivors or casualties. They are still looking for the cockpit voice recorder and the flight data recorder of the plane in hopes of understanding what really happened.
