People of western Colombia noticed an earthquake on Saturday afternoon at around 2:21 p.m. local time. Parts of Colombia were also slightly felt the tremor. The earthquake is thought to be of magnitude 6.1.

Reports about the earthquake are still coming in but according to Officials the epicentre of the earthquake was at about 5 miles northwest of El Dovio at the region of Cuaca Valley. El Dovio is located at the west of the capital city of Bogota.
Emergency services have been called to affected area and citizens are volunteering to help. People have turned to Twitter to verify the earthquake. Hashtag #earthquake #magnitude And #tajikistan are also trending on Twitter.
