Huawei Launches ‘SmartGlasses’ in Collaboration with Gentle Monster

Huawei a Chinese tech company on its mobile launch event today announced that they will be releasing smart glasses.

Huawei will be partnering Korean eyewear company Gentle monster for this new innovation. Gentle monster is known for its luxurious eyewear and new experimental designs. As per CEO of Gentle monster Hankook Kim, It’s a smart partnership choice by Huawei.

The glasses will have dual mics, speakers and they can be charged wirelessly via the case which holds the glasses or by USB-C port moreover it will be dust and water resistant, the glasses will also work as a Bluetooth headset for phone calls  but it does not have any camera which allows it to look more like normal sunglasses.

It seems that the company is mainly focusing on style rather than functionality. As per CEO, they see it as a competitor to Snapchat spectacles.

Huawei has not shared any information about the purchasing procedure but we can expect these glasses in July of this year.
