One Indian man died and a woman was injured when they were stabbed by an immigrant near Munich, Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj said in a tweet.
Indian couple Prashant and Smita Basarur were stabbed by an immigrant near Munich. Unfortunately, Prashant has expired. Smita is stable. We are facilitating the travel of Prashant’s brother to Germany. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. /1

The news broke out on Saturday at 11 am local time in a series of tweet Mrs. Swaraj informed the public that Prashant and Smita Basarur, “An Indian Couple…were stabbed by an immigrant near Munich.”
She added, “Unfortunately, Prashant has expired. Smita is stable. We are facilitating the travel of Prashant’s brother to Germany.” She expressed her condolences to the couple’s “bereaved family.”
She also thanked Counsalate General of Munich and her mission to take care of Saakshi and Shlok, children of the couple.
German Authorities are in contact with the Indian Consulate to help facilitate Prashant’s brother’s travel to Germany.
