Update: Delhi Court has reserved order on Robert vadra’s anticipatory bail plea for the upcoming April 1 and extended his interim protection from arrest till then in the money laundering case he is indulged in.
Robert vadra is the brother-in-law of the Congress president Rahul Gandhi, the enforcement directorate(ED) had filed a money laundering case against him in the purchase of a London based property, Bryanston square worth 1.9 million pounds.
Earlier this month the ED’s public prosecutor DP Singh told the court that Vadra was not cooperating with the matter and he was harassing the investigators, also he said that Vadra is attempting to over-awe the system as Vadra himself came to the ED office with a lot of peoples along with his wife Priyanka Gandhi and politicized the matter.
Also, ED said that all his activities business, investments are suspicious.
ED told the court on Thursday that they need a custodial interrogation of the accused as they have enough materials to investigate. Also Adding to it ED told the court that there was a risk of tampering.
ED also said that they have received information about various new properties in London which allegedly belong to Vadra including two houses of five and four million pounds each and six other flats.
Senior advocate Tulsi appearing for Vadra had denied all allegations against him and said that he had not misused the liberty granted to him by the Court.
