Actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha who was Member of Parliament for two times (2009-2014 and 2014-2019) quits BJP and joins Congress. He decided to quit BJP as the party denied his ticket for upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Shatrughan Sinha got replaced by union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad for Patna Sahib Constituency.
Shatrughan Sinha had won two times Lok Sabha elections from Patna Sahib for BJP but still been denied the ticket.
On Sunday as he joined the Congress party he said that the party has a great contribution in the country’s freedom movement and it was a national party in a “true sense” and adding to it he said that his family friend & RJD leader Lalu Prasad also advised him to join Congress.
He also said that TMC chief Mamata Banerjee, Samajwadi party chief Akhilesh Yadav, and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal wanted him to join their respective parties but he made it clear that he will be contesting in LS polls from Patna Sahib only.
Two times BJP MP said that it is very painful for him to leave the party since he had such long association but was disturbed as the BJP has not fielded party veterans LK Advani and Murali Manohar Joshi in the LS polls.
He also slammed BJP’s leadership of PM Narendra Modi and president Amit Shah by saying earlier it was ” Lokshahi” (democracy) and now there is “tanashahi” (dictatorship) in the party.
He also made it clear that he won two times from Patna Sahib on his own effort and hard work without support from party, he said that the party has not supported him as it was supporting other candidates, also he said that he did not call his own daughter Sonakshi Sinha so that people don’t get to say things also adding to it Sinha said that he had the highest vote share percentage in the entire country.
After joining Congress he decides to give a tough fight to BJP at his Constituency.
