As the dates of elections are coming closer, daily there is a new political event occurring across the country. On Monday Seven candidates including six sitting MPs filed there nominations for upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Elections to five Assembly seats are also being held along with the parliamentary polls in Gujarat.
The process of filing nominations in Gujarat had started on Friday when seven candidates from Vadodara, Surendranagar, Surat, Jamnagar, Dahod (ST) constituency filed their nominations. In Gandhinagar Constituency Amit Shah has replaced the veteran BJP leader LK Advani.
Several party leaders and Ministers were escorting the candidates when they are submitting there nomination paper to election authorities. BJP MP Vinod chavda from kutch Constituency submitted his paper in the presence of Gujarat chief minister Vijay rupani , besides this party MPs CR Patil for Navsari seat, Devusinh Chauhan for kheda, Dr bhartiben shiyal for Bhavnagar, Dipsinh Rathod for sabarkantha and Dr. Kirit Solanki for Ahmedabad-west Constituency also have filed their nominations.
Independent MLA Ratansingh Rathod given ticket by the BJP for panchmahal Constituency has also filed his nomination paper in presence of state education minister. Rathod has replaced sitting MP prabhatsinh Chauhan.
The last date of filing nominations is April 4. Elections will be held in Gujarat for all 26 Lok Sabha seats on 23rd April.BJP has declared the names of all the members, except for the Constituency Mehsana, Ahmedabad-East and Surat.
