The Grammy-nominated rapper Ermias Asghedom more popularly known Nipsey Hussle was shot to death outside of his South Los Angeles store.
The incident took place on Sunday night when it was reported by LAPD that Nipsey Hussle was shot multiple outside his LA store, The Marathon Clothing.
LA’s Mayor Eric Garcetti confirmed this news shared his condolence to the family and friends of the 33-year-old rapper.
“Our hearts are with the loved ones of Nipsey Hussle and everyone touched by this awful tragedy,” Garcetti said. “L.A. is hurt deeply each time a young life is lost to senseless gun violence. My Crisis Response Team is assisting the families coping with shock and grief.”

He the shooting Hussle made a tweet saying, “Having strong enemies is a blessing.”

In tweet LAP released some information surrounding the shooting. “At approximately 3:20 pm there was a shooting reported in the area of Slauson Ave and Crenshaw Blvd,” LAPD tweeted. They added that in total 3 people were shot during the incident. All three who were shot were immediately taken to a local hospital but unfortunately, one didn’t make it and died at the hospital.

They believe the suspect involved in this shooting is a black male and added that, “LAPD South Bureau Homicide is conducting an investigation to locate him and anyone else involved.”

There have been 26 shooting victim and 10 homicidal deaths in South LA since last Sunday, LAPD Chief, Michel Moore said. “Tonight’s homicide in South LA represents the latest loss in a troubling surge in violence,” he added, “We will work aggressively with our community to quell this senseless loss of life.”
