Yesterday when the Congress released their manifesto than BJP had deployed union finance minister Arun Jaitley to counter it, Jaitley said that the promises that Rahul Gandhi made were “unimplementable” and “dangerous”.
The Congress said in the manifesto that section 124A has been misused and in any event, has become redundant because of subsequent laws and should be omitted.
In a separate section on Jammu and Kashmir, the Congress promised to review the deployment of armed forces in the state, “move more troops to the border to stop infiltration completely and reduce the presence of the army and central armed forces in Kashmir valley , entrust more responsibility on the J&K police for maintaining law and order.
Jaitley mocked congress approach for the talks to improve the situation in Kashmir and scoffed at the party for dedicating a complete section to Kashmir and not even mentioning Kashmiri Pandits.
