Level 3 Evacuation order issued for Coast Fork, Row River residents


    Lane County, Oregon: Residents Coast Fork and Row River who live in the flood plain area of the Willamette River are advised to leave the area immediately as Lane County Sheriff’s Office has issued an evacuation notice in the area.

    The evacuation notice was issued due to the recent downpour which has caused water levels in the Dorena Reservoir to rise dramatically.

    Acc. to the evacuation notice, “Lane County Emergency Management was notified by US Army Corps of Engineers that water is being released from Dorena Reservoir at historic rates to avoid reservoir overflow, and the releases have already begun.”

    People who live in the Coast Fork, Willamette 100 yard floodplain and Row River 100 yard flood are advised to leave the area immediately.

    Lane County Sheriff has also informed that the Red Cross has set up an emergency Shelter at Cottage Grove Community Center (700 E. Gibbs, Cottage Grove). Anyone impacted by the flood and is seeking shelter is advised to go to Cottage Grove Community Center.
