Emily Bett Rickards Confirms she is Quitting ‘Arrow’ Before Season 8

Actor Emily Bett Rickards who is most popularly known for her role in CW’s Arrow as Felicity Smoak has confirmed that this is going to be her last season on the show as she is quitting the after Season 7.

Rickards broke the news in an Instagram post and on Twitter on March 30th where she thanked all of her fans and co-stars for showing her all the love and supports throughout the journey that she had been part of since last 7 years.

Rickards was introduced to the show in the second season of Arrow in 2012 and since then she had been a prominent part of the cast where she plays the character of Felicity Smoak, wife of Oliver Queen aka Green Arrow and act as his helping hand, guiding him throughout his adventures.

Although the season 8 of Arrow has been announced which will reportedly be the last season of the show Rickards won’t be part of it. She has revealed the reason for her quitting the show even though this is going to be the last and likely be the most important season for the show as this Season will conclude the story of Oliver Queen.

Series’ Producer Marc Guggenheim also confirmed this news and said his farewell to Rickards in a twitter post.

The Season 8 of Arrow has been confirmed but unfortunately it was confirmed by Variety that this is going to be the last season and will consist of only 10 episodes unlike previous season’s 22-23 episodes.
