Yes yes we know that’s a hell of a click-bait title for an article but there is no way Rockstar is going to ditch the PC market this time for one of their most successful titles.
So the question that every Red Dead Redemption Fan has been waiting for, when are they going to be able to play Red Dead Redemption 2 on their PCs. Well, this question is fairly simple to answer if you know Rockstar Games’ history.
Some fans might be worried as Rockstar Games is so avidly looking for releasing their titles for PC as this proved by Red Dead Redemption 1 and GTA 5.
Both games are massive in their own right, with the latter game credited being breaking many records, including Fastest entertainment property to gross 1 billion dollars and highest revenue generated by an entertainment product under 24 hours.
However, even with record-breaking success, GTA 5 fans had to wait a long time before they could pay the game on PC as Rockstar Games released GTA 5 for PC almost 2 years after the release of the game on consoles in 2013.
This is even worst for Red Dead Redemption as Rockstar Games didn’t even release a PC version of the game and left the PC market waiting forever.
But we should not expect this precedent that is set by Rockstar because in the end Rockstar Games is a company and it would be highly unprofitable not to cater to the PC market as PC gaming accounted for almost 25% of all revenue in the gaming industry.
And even though they have a bad history with PC gaming we could expect Rockstar Games to act differently this time. This, when combined with recent rumors circulating on the internet, makes Red Dead Redemption 2 PC even nearer.
So the answer that everyone you PC gamers is waiting for, when is Red Dead Redemption 2 coming to PC. Well, if we believe what’s circulating on the internet combined with bits of information released by Rockstar themselves, we could expect Red Dead Redemption 2 to come to PC by end of 2019.
There is a high probability that Rockstar was already working on the PC port of RDR 2 along with the console version. This is because there are also rumors going around that Rockstar is planning on release Grand Theft Auto 6 next year they would be able to dominate the whole gaming season from Fall 2019 to Fall 2020 as the expected release date for RDR 2 PC is around November when all AAA companies release their flagship titles.
So, it would to a very good strategy if they want to get a chunk of the profit when an IP they have already worked on and developed.
