Released on January 25th of this year, Kingdom Hearts 3 has met with a mix of huge applause and critiques from the gamer community! Before we look at both sides of this coin called reviews, let’s have a look at what this whole game is exactly about?
For those of you living under a rock, the Kingdom Hearts 3 is a fun action-packed roleplaying video game which was developed and published by Square Enix to both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Kingdom Hearts 3, being the twelfth installment in the series of Kingdom Hearts, as you would have already guessed, is the sequel to Kingdom Hearts 2.
The entire plot and storyline revolve around Sora, the playable character. We will follow him joined by, Donald Duck, Riku, Mickey, Goofy along with their search for the seven guardians of light. All along thwarting Xehanort’s ultra plan to bring a second Keyblade War.
During this journey, they have multiple encounters with our favorite Disney characters including the Hamada family of Big Hero 6, Elsa, Mike Wazowski and Sullivan duo, Tangled’s Rapunzel, Malificient, etc. You can cross paths different Disney universes such as the Olympus, twilight town, Toy Box, Kingdom of Corona, Arendelle, Monstropolis, the Caribbean, San Fransokyo among others.
Kingdom Hearts 3 does not want you to forget you are playing a game on collaboration with Disney! Due to which from the beginning till the end your entire screen will be filled with sparkles and spectacles. Tetsuya Nomura and his team have worked on it really hard as a result of which you can see in the game. With this being the last entry in the Kingdom Hearts trilogy, this conclusion had put lots of adventure together.
One of the new features that the gamer will automatically notice is that our hero, Sora can now run directly up against walls vertically. After destroying the titan from Disney’s version of Hercules creation, Sora and company will directly land in Andy’s room from the Pixar film Toy Story. Since Square Enix nailed the complete voice-overs and character design, this will be loads of fun. Sora can also take help from Ariel in Little Mermaid and Ralph from Wreck it Ralph adding to the gamer’s amusement!
The reviews are not all good, seeing how some gamers feel this entire thing is a load of childishness. The game is believed to be more suitable for a younger audience who are familiar with the Disney world to start with. For the gamers who have not been acquainted with Disney world and characters, this might get a tad bit boring.
However, the sole amusement of watching our favorite Disney heroes having crossovers cannot be ruled out! What are you waiting for then? Come, let’s go acquaint ourselves with Mr. Nomura’s imagination!
Now as for the fans who have already completed this game and are looking for more Kingdom Hearts, we have good news for you.
