Yes, you read it right! Rick and Morty are finally about to finish their vacation and be back on screens! With an all-new season 4 reportedly coming up most possibly this year, fans are not able to subdue their increasing anticipation. Though it was rumoured to come out on April fool’s day, apparently, there is a delay for unknown reasons. As of now, reports say that if it doesn’t come in July (like how all the other season have come out), it will come by the end of the year 2019.
Once the question of “when?” is answered, next comes the question of what the plot is? There are many theories for this question. But, they tend more toward the hypothetical side seeing as how most of the story details behind the rick and Morty season are kept secret.
However, we cannot rule out the fact that every rumor has some truth behind it, hiding in the plain sight! The most trending titbit is that season 4 might introduce evil rick. An image of rick’s doppelganger wearing an eyepatch goes viral.
It seems true that this season might throw some light on this character clearing all our doubts. There is also news on the Citadel returning with the Evil Rick’s rule. However, to know more, we just have to wait for the release.
After October 2017, when the season 3’s last episode was aired, almost a year and a half later, the producers dropped subtle hints by insinuating that the production is going well.
Actor Sarah Chalke who voices Beth Smith from the show shared that, it’s coming even though she cannot say when on, an interview with Et Canada April 15. So far, we know that Justin Roiland, who voices for both Rick and Morty, is also working alongside Chalke.
Chris Parnell and Spencer Grammer are also in the cast, as the reports say, possibly voicing over as Jerry Smith and Summer Smith respectively.
Thanks to a photo from the inside of the recording studio, uploaded by Roiland, we also know that the new season will possibly include the Interdimensional cable 3.
Coming to the question of how will the season 4 start? Sadly, we are left with too many possibilities for this, we cannot guess accurately here because the ending of season 3, the family laughing at Rick at the dinner table is sort of mundane without any cliffhangers. Hence, the starting could go any way and can be quite an impossible job to predict.
The season 4 might be aiming for a higher count of episodes than season 3, but it would be reasonable to expect around 10 to 12 episodes like usual.
Finally, for those of you who do not know about Rick and Morty’s show, it basically chronicles the misadventures of a crazy scientist Rick Sanchez and his fretful grandson Morty Smith. It switches between the Smith family drama and the inter-dimensional adventures. Started by the Adult swim on Carton network, the series has been applauded all over the world by both the fans and critics for its originality, humor, and creativity.
With season 2 and 3 gaining drastic and immense popularity, season 4 is expected to have a spurt in sales like crazy. Let’s just hope the wait for the season 4 would go like a breeze!
