Netflix is all set to release Designated Survivor Season 3. After the show was canceled by ABC, Netflix picked it up. It will now stream the third season as a “Global Netflix Original.”
Designated Survivor follows the story of a lower-level cabinet member. On the night of the State of the Union, a catastrophic attack takes the life of the President and everyone in the line of succession. The only person to survive the attack is Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Thomas Kirkman, who had been named the designated survivor. Kirkman is immediately sworn in as President, unaware that the attack is just the beginning of what is to come.

PLOT OF DESIGNATED SURVIVOR SEASON 3:
A press release announced: “The 3rd season of Designated Survivor sees President Kirkman face a political reality… campaigning.” This season will explore today’s world of campaigning, smear tactics, debates, campaign finance, and ‘fake news.’
We are to see more of the politics of today’s world. The show will display a brief understanding of what it takes to make a leader. What price will Tom Kirkman have to pay in order to be one? It will display the rough decisions he has to make.
Cast member Kal Penn called the first Netflix season “edgier” than what had gone before as he prepared to film his final scenes.
So in short, we are going to see a lot of election campaigning, emotional turmoil, wide politics, and more more.
