Many Fans were shocked when they saw Loki played by Tom Hiddleston die in Avengers Infinity War by the hands of the Mad Titan Thanos himself. This wasn’t the first time we have thought that Loki had died.
In Thor 1 Loki falls into the abyss after the destruction of Bifröst and we think Loki is dead. However, he comes back in Avengers 1 as the main antagonist of the movie. Loki again fakes his death when we are led to believe that he is fatally stabbed. But again it turns out he alive.
However, his luck doesn’t last long as in a bid to stand against Thanos, Loki is killed by his as he is chocked to death. Loki’s death has a deep effect on Thor because he was the last of his family that was alive as father and mother were already dead.
But Loki has the luck of the devil because he is granted another life. Even though technically he is still dead there is a certain event in Avengers Endgame which confirms that Loki is alive, in an alternate timeline.
During the Avengers’ time heist they go to New York in 2012. There they are met with their old selves who had just defeated Loki. They plan to steal the Tesseract or Space Stone (whatever you call it). But their plan doesn’t go accordingly as Loki is able to steal the Tesseract and escape from the clutches of the younger Avengers.
This will have a drastic impact on the MCU’s timeline and will probably lead to him being part of an alternative timeline where he still alive. And the TV series will probably follow Loki’s adventures in this new timeline.

This news has also been confirmed by Disney. In a tweet, Disney said, “Loki, a new series starring Tom Hiddleston, is coming to DisneyPlus.” confirmed that Loki will indeed be back for more action.
