In an interview to the Guardian when she was asked about the episode, the actress said, “I think it’s an important story that needs to be told, such a realistic take on what it’s like working in the Music Industry. It really portrays the overexploitation of artists, and the numbers usually eclipse creative most of the time.”
This was not enough when she took to stand for female artists in the industry. With a huge fan base and incredible stardom, the actress now wishes to work towards securing the rights of female artists. The star in a recent interview with BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat spoke regarding the condition of women in the industry.
When asked about her character, she replied, “This is a story of females in the music industry. I understand everyone’s gone through this but I do think for females in the industry….. It’s hard to be taken seriously.” This interview made her intentions very clear. Now let’s wait for the episode and wish her good luck in her future endeavours.
