Recent reports about the GTA 6 release have had gamers and geeks excited. Sony PlayStation looks forward to putting the rumours to rest by announcing the update for PS5. Sony PlayStation is in partnership with Rockstar Games, the creators of the Grand Theft Auto franchise.
Rumour mills report that GTA 6 would be released exclusively on PS5. However, these rumours might prove to be false as it might alienate Xbox users and users of the PS4. Rockstar Games has not commented on this recent development but gamers are yet to lose hope in the release of GTA 6. Rockstar Games refrained from announcing an updated version of GTA 5 for the PS5.
Gamers are counting on 2020 for the release of GTA 6 as PS5 is scheduled to be launched in 2020. Rumours also suggest that the makers of GTA 5 are also involved in several new projects which include GTA 6. A Reddit user, who claimed to have been involved in a project for building a website for Take Two, which is Rockstar’s parent company, claimed in a now deleted post that Rockstar Games release an official statement for the launch of a brand new game at E3 2019.
Gamers would have to wait and watch out for announcements as E3 is around the corner. However, some gamers are apprehensive about the veracity of the leaks on Reddit. Rockstar has traditionally refrained from making any announcements of new releases at E3. GTA 5 was released in 2013 and the vast timespan makes it feasible for Rockstar Games to announce the release of the much anticipated GTA 6.
As the anticipation for GTA 6 mounts, rumours surrounding the game are afloat with different reports as to its release. Some speculate that GTA 6 would be available by 2020 only on the next-gen consoles. It seems like Rockstar Games would wait on the announcement until it feels that Red Dead Online has received considerable market exposure.
