The author has written eight novels but sources suggest that the first five have been chosen because they contain the main plot which helps the portray the characters development. Sapkowski was very pleased that popular screenwriter, Lauren S Hissrich has stuck to the original story as much as she could.
Much to the delight of the fans, the characters they most love have not been left out, Roach being the most popular out of them. Cavill shared his thoughts about the series on an Instagram post, indicating that the shooting for season 1 is over.
Executive producers Sean Daniel and Jason Brown added: “The Witcher stories follow an unconventional family that comes together to fight for truth in a dangerous world. The characters are original, funny and constantly surprising and we can’t wait to bring them to life at Netflix, the perfect home for innovative storytelling.”
Fans all over the world are excited because it has been confirmed that it will have a few seasons to its name due to the large volume of the books. The trailer has yet to be released which leaves fans speculating whether it will be as disappointing as the first look released last year.
