Confirmed: Techland will reveal Dying Light 2 release date at E3 2019, Square Enix partnership

Dying Light 2 is an upcoming new generation’s horror action adventure game and it is set to be released at E3 2019. There will be an apocalyptic zombie world where every action will have consequences.

Dying Light is an open-world survival horror action adventure game set during a Zombie Outbreak. It is developed by Techland and was released in 2015. And last year Techland announced the sequel to Dying light i.e Dying Light 2. This game will be released for PlayStation and Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.

It was officially disclosed last year with an in-depth Gameplay demo at E3 2018 and now Square Enix has officially confirmed that Dying Light 2 will be revealed and shown at an E3 press conference on Monday, 10 June 2019.

Techland has described the title of the game as a “narrative sandbox,” and has also described that the decisions you will make while playing will shape the world around you in the game. Techland has also stated that Dying Light 2 will also support the multiplayer like its first version, but it will not have a battle royale mode.

Techland describes the time period of Dying Light 2 as the “new dark ages”. In this game the zombie apocalypse will drag the society back to a Hobbesian state of nature and humans will kill themselves rather than be eaten up by the hordes of undead parading the streets of Harran which is the Turkish-set city from the original game only.

For Dying Light 2, Techland is magnifying by repeating everything that players loved in the original game i.e day and night cycle mechanism and it will build out combat and the cooperative system. Dying Light 2 will enhance free-running movement mechanics. But it will also have many exclusive and interesting features to fuse narrative choice. Another distinct feature that the game has that the players can change the entire parts of the city as per their choice.

From the in-depth gameplay trailer which was released last year, we concluded that its map is almost 4 times bigger than the original one. As we know that the Chris Avellone and Karolina Stachyra have developed this horror adventure game so we can expect a lot more. More details will be released at the upcoming E3 event.
