Richard Madden: Everything is going great after winning a Golden Globe

Richard Madden says he’s glad that everything’s going great but that’s what worries him; He said this after winning a Golden Globe for his performance in the mini-series, ‘Bodyguard’.

The former Game of Thrones actor recently starred in Elton John’s biography, ‘Rocketman’, opposite Taron Egerton. He played John’s long time lover and manager, John Ried. After a string of roles on Netflix orignals, he has finally moved on to the big screen and is making his mark there.

Director Simon Kinberg says that although it would be hard to replace Hugh Jackman as the beloved Marvel character, Wolverine; he would love to see Madden or Tom Hardy take on the role, because they are great to work with. Matthew Vaughn was impressed by Madden as well because he went on to say that he would direct a James Bond movie, if Madden starred in it.

Amid his fame, Madden has been linked to 13 Reasons Why actor, Brandon Flynn, who was seen at the Cannes Film Festival with Madden’s family for the premiere of ‘Rocketman’. The actor did not deny or accept the fact but simply chose to keep his personal life private as he always has and would be grateful if people stopped intruding.

His co-actors only have good things to say about him. Taron Egerton, who played Elton John in Rocketman said,’ “What Richard has as an actor is great weight and assuredness. People call it sex appeal — and hell, there’s no doubt he has that — but it’s more than that. The sex appeal is a byproduct of his strength. You feel safe around him, because he has this certainty about things.”

Critics say he still has a long way to go but he has already made his mark here and Madden won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. Catch Rocketman in theaters close to you.
