Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid have been on an on-off-then-again-on relationship for more than three years now. Although their most recent public break-up was in January 2019, many instances suggest they may not be over each other even now.
When Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid Started?
Let’s rewind to November 2015. Zayn had broken off his engagement with Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards three months ago. Gigi Hadid had split with Joe Jonas a month ago. Rumors started that Zayn and Gigi were dating after they were spotted holding hands.
First Official Breakup
March 2018. After reports of their split surface, both Zayn and Gigi confirm their break-up on Twitter, where their respective posts complimented each other, like a lot.
But this break-up didn’t even stay more than a month. In April 2018, Gigi was caught in PDA with Zayn on the streets of NYC.
And the Love Story Begins
Through the entire of 2018, up until November, there are instances on social media and public, where they are caught showing off their love, including Gigi wearing a necklace with Zayn’s name on it. Although they don’t confirm the rumors during any talk shows, they seem pretty tight together.
Up until the start of 2019. When people find out that Zayn and Gigi are spending the New Years separately, this is when reports suggest that they have been spending some time away since November.Â
Then on January 4, 2019, they officially called it quits. But only after a few weeks, Gigi was spotted leaving Zayn’s house. So were they back again? Even more confusing was Zayn Malik’s tweet on March 2nd, proclaiming his love for Gigi by literally posting “@GiGiHadid love you.” But some sources still claimed that they were not getting back together, as Gigi knows they “aren’t compatible.”
In April 2019, Gigi was spotted hanging out with her good friend Samuel Krost, which led to many tabloids to assume they were dating. This angered Gigi, who showed this on a tweet on April 4th. Zayn tweeted some cryptic tweets the same day, which led people to assume they were directed towards Gigi. But Zayn cleared this up with some pretty heated tweets, praising Gigi for her love and support, even saying “she is the most amazing woman I’ve ever known.”
 So are they ever getting back together?
Well, we can’t say anything about their official relationship, but they seem to be getting back on better terms with each other. Zayn very recently, on May 11th, started following Gigi on Instagram again. This came days after Gigi had liked a video posted by Zayn Malik on Instagram. Considering how many times they have broken up and made up, this could probably mean they might get back together. Well, shippers have hope.
