S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 has been probably the most awaited release from quite some time. After the original STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl was released, hopes on the sequel which was reported to be made, are dangerously high.
The developers, as usual, remain tight-lipped on the details of the release.
However, from all that we have gathered so far, this is what we can predict!
When is the release?
Ever since “2.0.2.1” was posted on the official website of STALKER, the most sought after answer would be that it will release somewhere in the year 2021.
Although this might seem logical, various controversies are arising that would contradict this theory. Some say that this is a secret code and not the year of release. Others argue that the GSC developing team are just messing with us.
What Secret code?
Sometime later after the announcement was made, the GSC team posted a “code” on their official Twitter account for the fans to decipher. Anybody who solves this challenge would reportedly win exciting things like the key to the STALKER 2 game close to its release.
Many people tried their luck with a diversity of answers like morse code deciphering, using Chernobyl disaster timelines, hexadecimal conversions, etc. Some did come close to the expected response according to what our reports say.
What is the Storyline?
Seeing how we are still shrouded in the dark about the plot threads and storylines, I’m afraid we have to stick with the scarce details, if any, so far. For the most part, all we have right now are free predictions and baseless theories, though some are logical.
Firstly the plot would continue with the storyline of the previous three installments in the series, for obvious reasons. It needs to take place in a “zone”. Among the other confirmed features, it will quite possibly include female stalkers, new areas, new mutants, and interesting uses for the artifacts.
For the remaining details, we have to continue our fruitful (hopefully?) long wait!
