On June 10th Katy Perry took to Instagram, posting a picture of cookies she baked for Taylor Swift with all the indications of a happy new start of their friendship. “Peace At Last” was written in red. “Let’s Be Friends” and “feels good” as caption seems to be a sign of water under the bridge.
After few years of exchanging jabs, Perry reached out to Swift on May last year at the latter’s Reputation Stadium tour. Swift posted Katy Perry’s letter in an Instagram story and an olive branch, quite literally, in a white box.
“So, I just got to my dressing room and found this actual olive branch...This means so much to me.” Taylor Swift said in her video.
Katy Perry’s addresses Taylor as “Hey Old Friend” in her letter. She talked about how she had “been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications and hurt feelings” that was between them. She also apologized for the same.
It seems like all is well for both of the singers now. Handwritten letters, olive branch, and soon cookies can melt coldest of hearts. It is not surprising that not only did Taylor appreciated the effort that was put forward but also acted in her gratitude.
We can undoubtedly say now that there is indeed no “Bad Blood” between the singers. The fans of both the singers enthusiastically have received these events as a good tiding. They also wish that there might be a collaboration between them.
