Netflix’s remake of the classic television show ‘Lost in Space’ was confirmed for a much-wanted Season 2 a while ago. And here are all the latest updates on what’s going on behind the scenes and when we’ll get to stream this one.
A 2019 Release Date?
The Season two announcement that came in May 2018 was a given considering the cliffhanger that Season 1 ended with. What we are waiting for is an official release date, but Netflix has said nothing so far.
Season 1 released in April 2018 (on Friday the thirteenth), over a year ago, but we all know that filming a space drama is a time-taking and complicated affair. We could see the new season in late 2019 or early 2020, depending on when filming wraps up.
April is already gone, but if the show wants to drop on Friday the thirteenth and make that a thing, there’s one in September!
The Cast Lost in Space Season 2
Toby Stephens, Molly Parker, Maxwell Jenkins, Mina Sundwall, Taylor Russell, Ignacio Serricchio, and Parker Posey are all going to continue to star in the series as the main characters John, Maureen, Judy, Penny, Will, Smith, Don, and the Robot.
The characters Victor, Vijay, the Watanabes, and the others aren’t going to be in Season 2, as they’re back home aboard the Resolute, separated from their friends. However, this leaves us with room for some familiar new faces to join in and surprise us!

We don’t have a trailer yet, but The Robinsons are certainly going to be more lost in Season 2. Season 1 left them on a completely unknown corner of the universe, no friends in sight, right after locking down their enemy. And their only hint: “Danger, Will Robinson”; the Robot is somehow involved.
Should make for a mind-blowing lost in space action.
