Lauren Bushell is engaged to Country singer Chris Lane, and we got Ben Higgins’ reaction just hours after the news. Higgins reacted to the news while he was on Tuesday’s episode of his “Almost Famous” podcast. Higgins said he was “thrilled” that Bushnell, 29, found the man of her dreams and hopes that this occasion is where the linking of him and Bushell stops for good.
Higgins started by addressing how and why the former couple called off their engagement in 2017. “Ultimately, we left that relationship, both of us, I think, saying, ‘I hope life brings you a ton of joy, I don’t want you upset and alone forever. I hope you find a partner as soon as possible. I hope everything that you want in this world that’s healthy and good is given to you,’” he recalled. “And that’s exactly how I feel. So, to go to Lauren: Lauren, congratulations!”
Higgins continued about how he was thrilled and excited about Bushell finding the man of her dreams. Higgins also hoped joy and happiness for Bushnell in addition to which he hoped that Bushell finds everything she ever wanted out of their relationship.
He also hopes that he and Bushell would not be associated together anymore. He wants this to be a chapter closed entirely because he doesn’t know Lauren anymore and his life isn’t tied to hers. These are Higgins’ thoughts which he expresses in the Tuesday’s episode of his “Almost Famous” podcast.
The parted couple first met during season 20 of The Bachelor in 2016. The season ended with the former pair engaged, but they ultimately parted ways in May 2017. Afterward, Higgins was seen dating Jessica Clarke, which he revealed to everyone through Instagram.
Here’s hoping a happy and joyful future ahead for Bushnell and that Higgins is no more associated with her.
