The Byrdes are back in town for more business in season 3
The first two seasons of Ozark showed a very dark tale of the Byrde family. Jason Bateman, who plays the character of Marty Byrde in the show officially confirmed on Twitter that Ozark is back for another season. While Netflix has not given us a release date, we can expect the season to air sometime in September 2019.
Showrunner Chris Mundy also said that if everything goes according to plan then a five-season series is not off the books.
“We’ve always talked about it as five seasons,” he said at a recent panel discussion ahead of season three. “It could be four, it could be seven … but that always seemed like a good number to us,” said Chris.
What is Ozark season 3 about?
The show will pick up with Marty and Wendy Byrde(Laura Linney) struggling with “outside forces” while dealing with their power dynamic. Wendy’s brother is also hinted to been added to the cast and is set to cause a stir.
He’s going to be a very destabilizing factor, Mundy said.

Season two ended with the Byrde family further getting involved with criminal enterprises. The primary focus of this season will likely be about laundering hundreds of millions of dollars for the Mexican drug cartel as the Byrdes get their biggest operation up and running.
Ozark Season 3 cast
Jason Bateman will return as the Marty Bryde and Laura Linney will reprise her role as Wendy Byrde.
Unless there is some kind of offscreen plot-twist, Sofia Hublitz and Skylar Gaertner will be back as the couple’s kids, Charlotte and Jonah.
Julia Garner will be back as Ruth Langmore, Lisa Emery as Darlene Snell and Charlie Tahan as Wyatt Langmore will return as well.
Fingers are definitely crossed on the casts of Ozark 3 as we can’t really say what the show creators will hit us with. There was a lot of bloodsheds back in season 2 and hints of new cast members. To find out more, check out the trailer on youtube.
