Nicki Minaj and Trina drop new highly anticipated single ‘Baps’

Nicki ‘Barbie’ Minaj and Trina have dropped their new collaboration called ‘BAPS’ which will be featured on Trina’s new album ‘The One’.

The duo dropped a teaser back in 2018, and the highly anticipated track was finally released. It was sampled by the 2000s song ‘Project Bitch’, by rap duo ‘Big Tymers’ and Juveline. The music, melody and the Ms. Pac Man sound effect was also used. The track is a ‘bop’ according to the listeners and is quickly climbing the charts.

In the song, Trina ‘Saggitarius Bitch’ named her exes which include French Montana, Tory Lanez and Lil Wayne, and she had something to say about all of them, and not in a good way. Barbie praised her crew and spoke about how they’re all that, while also throwing shade at her exes. Combining the two rappers, it is as fans describe it- ‘a boss bitch’ anthem.

Trina stated in an interview that the working with Nicki Minaj was easy but the reason the release took long was because they needed clearance from ‘Cash Money Millionaires’ for sampling their song ‘Project Bitch’.

This is their fourth collaboration together after ‘5 Star’, ‘Dang A Lang’, and ‘Sex In Crazy Places’ with various artists. Trina’s album ‘The One’ is all set to release on June 21, which is this Friday. Along with Nicki Minaj, rappers like Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, DJ Khaled and more. She released the line up for her next studio album on Twitter.

Nicki Minaj is all set to release a new track called ‘Megatron’ of which she gave fans a quick peek on Instagram. This will be her first release after her album ‘Queen’ last year. The ‘Super Bass’ rapper said the song will also be releasing this Friday at midnight.

‘BAPS’ or Badass Pretty Sags, features a retro beat from the 2000s, but was given a modern spin, prefectly suits the timing and the rhythm of the lyrics. The badass rappers of the music industry hasn’t failed to surprise us with any of their tracks, and the same can be said for this one. Stream this bop on Spotify, and Apple Music.
