Sad News From Square Enix For Final Fantasy 7 remake’s Fan, The Game Will Release Late!

First introduced to the audience in 1997, Final Fantasy 7 withheld its place as one of the best JRPGs ever since. Along with entertaining the fans who are already addicted to games, it also attracted many newbies to the genre, thus overshadowing its counterparts many times.

Square Enix showed mercy on the fanatic players by deciding to make a remake of this legendary Japanese Role Playing Game.

The expectations on this project which was announced at the E3 2015 have been spiked which could be both the boon and the bane for the game’s future.

After our long wait of three years filled with patience, we finally have a release date in our hands.

Without any further delay, let’s jump to the more juicier details.

Final Fantasy 7 remake
When is the release?

The date given to us by Square Enix team is the 3rd of March 2020. The part that is still shrouded in the dark is whether the release date is for the entire set of episodes or just the first episode.

However, the date is much earlier than we expected seeing how the release was previously scheduled to be postponed due to various setbacks.

Though the fact that we could play the game much earlier isn’t something to be stressed about, especially when the date is already set in stone and no amount of speculations and delays will change it.

What we know is that the game will be first released onto PlayStation 4 as promised by the production team. Nevertheless, it will eventually be released to PS5, Xbox One, next Xbox, PC alongside current gen consoles.

Final Fantasy 7 remake
Is it episodic?

When asked about the real reason behind the game role-playing game being episodic, the series producer Yoshinori Kitase said “If we were to try to fit everything from the original into one remake installment, we would have to cut various parts and create a condensed version of Final Fantasy 7. We knew none of you would have wanted that.”

The main objective would be “Going beyond the scale and depth of the world, narrative, and gameplay from the original to deliver something that feels familiar yet new” in his own words.

Final Fantasy 7 remake
Is there a trailer?

E3 2019 saw the exclusive trailer which was released to the public. I will be lying if I say that I didn’t get Goosebumps watching it. Don’t forget to check it out before you continue your exciting wait.
