Tom Ellis energetic announcement to the confirmation of Lucifer returning for a season 5.
Lucifer is a Netflix series based on a DC comics character. It is about a demon named Lucifer that returns from hell to reside in Los Angeles and runs a club and is involved with the local police and assists them in solving tricky criminal cases. Its first season premiered in 2016, Audience has now been loving the show since and now its 5th and last season is expected to come in 2020. No official trailer of date has been announced yet.
Netflix is in a fit of canceling lots of shows this year. Despite the success of Lucifer, season five will be the end of it. Thus, season 5 of Lucifer has been made the last season. The fans are trying hard for a season 6, a petition has been signed by more than 50,000 thousand people to save the show from ending with its season 5. But this entire campaign was only successful in changing Netflix mind to renewing the show for one last season. The cast is thankful to its fans which made a season 5 possible for the show.
Netflix announced the upcoming season in a brief video of actor Tom Ellis who plays the character of Lucifer in the show.

What do we know about season 5?
- We do not have many details about the show. Hence, all we know is that season 5 is going to be the last season of Lucifer.
- And As confirmed by Ildy Modrovich in his tweet, the last season will have ten episodes, as we had in season 4.
- A “familiar face” is going to return to the show.
- Modrovich also said they would try to put together a blooper reel after the series finale.
- The dates for the season 5 is not revealed but we expect it to be in 2020.
