As per the deal between DC Lewis and Netflix, Netflix is adapting the series Chronicles of Narnia into TV series and movies over the coming years.
The Chronicles of Narnia is a series of films based on The Chronicles of Narnia that is a series of a novel whose author is C. S. Lewis.
There are a total of seven books on Narnia in full. They are:
- The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
- Prince Caspian.
- The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
- The Silver Chair.
- The Horse and His Boy.
- The Magician’s Nephew.
- The Last Battle.
One hundred million copies of these have been sold worldwide until now, and it has been translated into more than 47 languages.
Out of 7 films three namely, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe in 2005 then Prince Caspian in 2008 and lastly The Voyage of the Dawn Treader in 2011 have already been released.
What are The Chronicles of Narnia about?
This series revolves around the world of Narnia. In this series, there is a powerful and wise lion who is the king of Narnia and who can also speak, and the antagonist of the series is White Witch.
Netflix – The Chronicles of Narnia
And Now it is confirmed that the series of films is coming to Netflix as a part of a multi-year deal between The C. S. Lewis Company and The Netflix.
As per the deal, Netflix is adapting the series into both movies and TV Series in the coming years.
Now the news has come that the co-writer for Disney Pixar’s Coco who is a multi-award winning movie will work on Narnia and Netflix tweeted the following to it –
“Coco” co-writer Matthew Aldrich will serve as the creative architect and oversee the development of all films and shows adapted from C.S. Lewis’ beloved Narnia universe for Netflix.”
