‘A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood’ is scheduled to release pretty soon. Officially described as “the timely story of kindness triumphing over cynicism” and starring Oscar winner Tom Hanks, the wait already has the internet in a frenzy. And we’ve got all the latest updates on the scheduled film.

When Do We Get to See It?
We were going to see an October release, but it’s been pushed back now. The movie will be released on 22 November 2019 in the US and on 6 December 2019 in the UK.
Who Does It Star?
Tom Hanks, of course, plays Mr. Rogers. The Welsh Matthew Rhys joins him as journalist Llyod Vogel. And he’s worked with Hanks before, and pretty recently too. The Post, 2017, started the pair together.

The supporting roles are being filled by Chris Cooper, Susan Kelechi Watson, Enrico Colantoni, Maryann Plunkett, Wendy Makkena, Sakina Jaffrey, Carmen Cusack, Noah Harpster, and more.
It’s also Marielle Heller, famous for her work on The Diary Of A Teenage Girl.
What does it feature?
A Beautiful Day in The Neighbourhood tells the story of Mr. Rogers, host of the long-running Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood children’s show. A well-known figure in the US Television industry, Mr. Rogers shared a close friendship with journalist Tom Junod, who wrote an Esquire about him. Lloyd Vogel, based on Junod, is a significant part of the story.

The official description says, “Jaded and cynical exposé journalist, Lloyd Vogel, is ordered to do a piece on the much-beloved television personality, Mr. Fred Rogers. Initially highly distrustful of his subject’s sincerity, Lloyd warily and slowly comes to appreciate the genuine honesty and deeply held convictions of Mr. Rogers, eventually writing not an exposé but a heartfelt tribute to a true American Hero.”
It looks like this movie will be profound, beautiful and elegant rounded off by some brilliant acting from Tom Hanks.
