Interestingly, this is not the first time that this favorite novel of America is hitting the big screens. The story was previously adopted in 1933 and 1994 too. In 1933’s version Katharine Hepburn was the highlight of the movie, and in the later one Winona Ryder, Claire Danes, Kirsten Dunst, and Christian Bale were cast for the role of Match sisters.

This time, the responsibility to helm the project is taken by 2017’s Oscar-nominated Lady Bird’s director Greta Gerwig. Well, all know that she is well decorated for her work and not only behind camera but also for the front roles as an actress.
