The 2019 Bet Awards celebrated the best in African – American culture and other minorities who excelled in music, acting, and sports during the past year. We saw many noteworthy performances from various artists.
The show started all blazing with the most-nominated artist of the night, Cardi B, performing with her husband, Offset, on her hit track, “Clout” and “Press.” The rapper kept everyone enticed with a lap dance for her husband.

Cardi was nominated for several awards which included Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, and Best Collaboration category for her songs with Bruno Mars on “Please Me,” and Bad Bunny and J. Balvin on “I Like It.” Cardi B is no stranger to BET awards as she has won five BET Awards in 2017 and four during the 2018 celebration.

Another spellbinding performance was of Billy Ray Cyrus and Lil Nas X singing their viral country/ hip-hop music, Old Town Road. The crowd were pretty excited and sang the viral hit along with Billy Ray Cyrus and Lil Nas X. Other performance included Lizzo’s, “Truth Hurts” and a medley of hits from Mary J Blige.

There were many significant moments during BET 2019, some of which were, Mary J.Blige getting presented with a lifetime achievement award from Rihanna and performed a medley of her hits, the tribute to late director John Singleton and Nipsey Hussle, Tyler Perry receiving the Ultimate Icon Award. These were just a few of the great moments.
Other than Cardi, who was nominated for the most awards, Drake too was not far behind with five nominations. All in all, BET 2019 was lit, and we saw many nominations and many deserving winners. Here’s the list of all nominations and winners.
