Recently, Jessica Jones Season 03 was released on Netflix. It revealed about the Iron Fist after the cancellation of their own show.
Unfortunately, the partnership between the Marvel television and Netflix has come to an end and the season 03 of Jessica Jones is the final installment of the entire series. But the major thing still stays there holding it tight, why Netflix has canceled all these shows!? Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Daredevil Iron Fist and the rest has been canceled by Netflix. It’s been said that, due to the poor viewership for the show and least watched among all the other shows, Iron Fist had a sad journey. Another reason behind this break-up of Marvel and Netflix is, the expense of making the shows, and also these shows were not produced in a house like some other Netflix hits.
The actual cancellation started from October 2018, when Netflix announced the cancellation of Iron Fist and Luke Cage. In October 2018 when Iron Fist received very poor reviews and was least appreciated, it was the first to go off after it’s second season debuted. There was a statement revealed about the show which says “Everyone at the Marvel television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful for all of the hard work from our incredible cast, crew and the showrunners. We’re thankful to the fans who have watched these two days seasons, and for the partnership, we have shared with this series. While the series on Netflix has ended, the Immortal Iron Fist will live on,” they added. Also a week later, it was quite odd yet true that Fist’s fellow hero for hire, Luke Cage was also canceled. Season 03 of Daredevil premiered and to add on the surprise they announced the Luke Cage cancellation too.
Well, Marvel fans are really saddened with this news. But Marvel fans need not disappoint themselves. There’s much more coming their way on Disney+ and also on big and the small screen.
