Laverne Cox and Kyle Draper are no longer together. Orange is the New Black star Cox took to Instagram on this Tuesday to personally announce this breaking news that would be a disappointment for a lot of people around the globe.
The couple claimed to split in a respectful manner seeing how they do not feel that this time they spent with each other as not wasted.
“After much Soul searching and tears from both of us, we have decided that its time for us to go our separate ways,” wrote Cox in her post, thus revealing to the public that they have broken up.
They both decided to announce it to the public seeing how their relationship was public in many ways from the beginning.
Cox admitted that she was sad for smashing the hope many people, especially trans, had on their relationship that love was possible for them as well. However, she thinks that this hope in light of this breakup is not diminished but rather fortified.
The Mateo sound CEO Draper shared his girlfriend’s (oh wait, ex-girlfriend?) post on IG as well quoting that Coz summed up his feelings beautifully.
Cox also wrote “Knowing that we are both capable of giving and receiving love with this level of respect, trust, affection, depth, kindness, and so grateful we were open to love and for every moment we had together. We have both grown in innumerable ways as a result, Now its just time to move on separately.”
After looking at their clean break up, many believers possibly have mixed feelings.
