After sitting out The Fate Of The Furious, Jordana Brewster is officially reprising her role as Mia! And that news alone has added a lot of excitement for the current underproduction film.
Returning as Mia Toretto in F9, Brewster reposted a picture of herself in the set of F9 with Ludacris and Michelle Rodriguez.

The family is indeed getting complete.
Mia returns after break from Fast & Furious:
It was difficult for the makers of Fast & Furious to bring back Mia. Brewster played Mia in five of the past eight Fast and Furious movies, but the franchise never really knew what to do with her. She was the love interest for Paul Walker’s Brian. And as Brian exited the series, so did Mia and his child.
Vin Diesel also welcomed Brewster back to the family as he posted a video of Brewster holding ‘Baby Brian’.

Mia’s character was seen last at the end of Furious 7 before she exited with Brian to raise their family. Following Paul Walker’s tragic death, it was the only thing to do so and from then Mia was retooled into exiting. It wasn’t really expected that she would return but we’ve been proved wrong before too.
Fast & Furious 9 has been slated for release on May 22, 2020.
