The British crime drama television series Sherlock has been canceled. Therefore, there will be no season 5 of this television series. Sherlock is based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes. Sherlock was premiered in July 2010. Overall, four seasons have been shown on BBC One. The show came to an end in the month of January 2017.
A detective duo named, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson were living in 221b Baker Street, London. Sherlock is a consulting detective who solves mysteries. His aid, friend, and flatmate is Dr. John H Watson. Dr. Watson is a physician who returned to London after serving the military for years.
Sherlock’s neighbors and Inspector Greg Lestrade were suspicious about Sherlock when he was staying in Baker Street. Over time, his power of observation and exceptional intelligence made him a hero. Sherlock became much in demand by the government as well as civil society. At the end of season 4, dark secrets about Sherlock’s family bothered him. The Baker Street duo had to face their greatest challenge ever.

However, Sherlock Holmes would be back in theatres very soon. The role of Sherlock will be played by Henry Cavill alongside Millie Bobby Brown in the Enola Holmes adaptation. The fans of Sherlock are still eagerly waiting for season 5.
