At 51 years of age, Kenny Chesney is one of the most active country singers. When I’d first heard of him, I thought he sounded like a young guy, but when I Googled him, I was surprised to see a robust-looking older man with a cowboy hat, a tank top, and a guitar.
American Country Meets English Pop
Country music is known for its lyrics that are realistic and story-like. It is also a genre where the guitar shines. It is very interesting to note that Kenny Chesney is collaborating with another singer who heavily uses the guitar in his love ballads. It’s Ed Sheeran!

Ed Sheeran is currently one of the biggest names in music. The charming redheaded Englishman is well known for smash hits such as the romantic waltz “Perfect” and workout song “Shape of You.” He also has a reputation as a skilled songwriter. This far, Sheeran has penned songs for the likes of Tori Kelly, One Direction, BTS, Eminem, Rita Ora, and Keith Urban. If that doesn’t scream versatility, then I don’t know what does.
As for Kenny Chesney, he does not always write his songs, but his concerns and personality doubtless influence what is written for him. He has upward of 5 million monthly listeners on Spotify. If you listen to some of his featured songs, you’ll notice he loves to sing about the beauty of the world, love and company (“Save It For a Rainy Day”), the fleeting nature of life (“Don’t Blink”) and family (“There Goes My Life”).

What’s the New Single About?
A lot of country websites have displayed excitement following the announcement that Chesney will be releasing his new single, “Tip of My Tongue,” which he co-wrote with Ed Sheeran.
This single marks Chesney’s return to music after a year-long silence. “Tip of My Tongue” will feature on his 18th studio album. The single will be released on July 12, Friday.
Chesney has his eponymous channel on YouTube where the music video will be uploaded.
