Former NFL quarterback, Jared Lorenzen has died at 38.

Former from New York Giants quarterback Jared Lorenzen has died on Wednesday. He was just 38 years old when he said the last bye to his loved ones.

In a statement to Kentucky Sports Radio, Jared’s mother Janet Hermes said that he was not beautiful from last few days and he died Wednesday after being hospitalized. With eyes full of pain and tears she said that “It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jared Lorenzen would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation for all of your support and prayers over the past six days,”

Last week when fans were worried about Jared’s health, his family, announced that because of an infection and some kidney and liver issues, he was hospitalized and admitted to an intensive care unit.

The sports network’s founder Matt Jones tweeted that after suffering from some kidney and liver infections, Lorenzen had been hospitalized.

Lorenzen played for Kentucky before signing a contract with New York Giants in 2004. Even the University of Kentucky Football team tweeted that We lost a great one too soon today. Our hearts are with the Lorenzen family, “. Everyone was in tears after listening to this bad news, but one person who felt the most heartbreaking after getting this news was quarterback Eli Manning mourned the former NFL player and fellow Giant. Jared and Eli have competed against each other in college and joined the team together. After getting this news he tweeted that “Jared was a great teammate and friend,” Manning said. “We competed against each other in college and came to the Giants together. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I will always remember his competitive spirit and his good nature. Jared has left us all way too soon.”

Lorenzen spent about four seasons with the Giants. In a statement, the Giants described him as a “special person, and a beloved Giant.”
