More about Joey…

Even though he put on improbable numbers if we were to judge him on usual standards but believe it or not, he has done better. In 2018 Joey “Jaws” Chestnut stood atop the world after chowing down an impressive  74 hot dogs. The human food shredder missed equaling his record by three hot dogs. Let’s not take anything away from this victory since all Joey seems to be doing is improving right from when he started his career. At the beginning of his career, Joey began to with eating 66 hot dogs in the competition and eventually reached the milestone of 70 hot dogs in 2016.

The eating accolades don’t stop there as Joey has won many other titles too. He holds a total of 40 medals in Major League Eating Competitions. He holds the record for most gyozas eaten in 10 minutes (381), the most hard-boiled eggs eaten in 10 minutes (151), and the most pizzas eaten in 10 minutes (7.5). Truly an impressive eating machine. No wonder  Nathan’s website calls him “an American Hero and a national treasure.” He is to Eating Competitions what Michael Jordan and Muhammad Ali are to their respective sports.
