In a tweet, he posted the cover art of his EP ‘7’, which features a rainbow-colored building. “Deadass thought I made it obvious,” he wrote. On Friday he appeared on BBC America and told BBC when asked about his sexuality. Pushed on what he had revealed, he replied: “that I’m gay.”

Lil Nas X spoke about the backlash he is experiencing after coming out as gay in BBC interview. He was asked whether he expected any negative reactions to the news. “Oh, I am already getting it,” he said. But it has not disturbed him. “I am not angry or anything about it, because I know they just want that reaction.”
Opening the Doors For Others
The rapper admitted he had considered never coming out but had a change of heart. “I don’t want to just live my entire life, especially how I got to where I am at, just not doing what I want to do,” he said. His motive is to “opening the doors” for greater LGBTQ representation in-country and hip hop music.
