Ryan Reynolds is best known for his roles in action movies Deadpool, Deadpool 2 and Green Lantern. He’s also set to play a role Netflix’s new action movie Six Underground, from Transformers director Michael Bay. And it looks like the 42-year-old star’s Netflix career is only evolving.
Ryan Reynolds has now officially has joined Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Gal Gadot in the cast of Netflix’s upcoming film Red Notice. Read on to find out everything about the new movie and its star-studded cast.
Red Notice: A New Thriller
Red Notice was originally started at Universal Pictures and then picked up at Netflix. And it involves our favourite kind of action- a heist. The movie features a chase- an Interpol agent tracking the world’s most wanted art thief. ]More details are under wraps right now. However, we do know that it will encompass several countries in the frame and impress us with some high-speed, heart-racing action.
Netflix’s Head of Film Scott Stuber said in a statement that Rawsom has come up with “a spectacular globetrotting action-adventure film.” He added that Netflix was extremely excited about this massive project with their “Dream Team” of Dwayne, Ryan and Gal.

The film is scheduled to begin production sometime in 2020 and will reportedly cost Netflix $130 million to produce, including enormous salaries for the three main actors.
While we’ve seen such storylines from Narcos, Triple Frontier and the like, it’ll be interesting to see how Red Notice distinguishes itself. And the brilliant cast it has lined up is step one in the right direction for that.
The Cast
Red Notice stars Jumanji actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in the lead as the Interpol agent. Johnson has worked with writer and director Rawson Marshall Thurber before in the films Skyscraper in 2018 and Central Intelligence in 2016.
