Shocking: 2 year old toddler eaten alive by crocodiles in Cambodia

According to Independent, a two years old girl was eaten alive by crocodiles after she fell into a pit. The pit was located in her family farm, according to the Cambodian police.

The two years old girl, Rom Roath Neary’s mother was busy taking care of her newborn baby. Thus, the mother had lost sight of her daughter. The girl reportedly was wandering away from her home near Siem Reap yesterday morning. After that, the girl was not seen alive again.

The girl’s father, Min Min, 35, returned home around 10 a.m. in the morning. He immediately began to look for his missing daughter. Later, he found his daughter’s skull on the ground of a concrete enclosure near the pool where the crocodiles were swimming. Local media showed some pictures of the mother, Nay Is. She broke down as she held the remains of her daughter to her chest.

Police Chief, Captain Chem Chamnan said that “Her father found only her skull in the crocodile enclosure, where she was killed by crocodiles.” Other officers said, the toddler was at home with her mother, who recently gave birth, was taking caring of the new-born. During that time, the two years old girl left her house to play. She was last spotted, around the crocodile farm. The family had recently built 10-foot-high fences around the concrete pool where the crocodiles were kept. However, the girl was small enough to fit through the gaps.

Lt. Och Sophen, chief of Siem Reap commune police informed that the mother “lost sight of” the girl. He continued by saying, “When the father came back home, he couldn’t find his daughter in the house. He found a skull in the crocodile enclosure. The father confirmed that the daughter fell into the crocodile enclosure and that the crocodiles killed her, leaving only her skull.”

Police have requested the families to take extra precautions for their children from going into the crocodile farms.
